Barn owls use very good hearing, very good eyesight, silent flight and very sharp, strong talons to catch their prey. The Barn owl will fly up and down fields and hedge rows, using its ears, mainly, but also its eyes to look for prey. One found, the Barn owl will dive head first onto the prey, stretching its feet out at the last second and shutting its eyes, feeling the prey with the hairs on its fee and nose.
