Lovebirds are attentive parents that share the responsibility of raising their young. The female typically incubates the eggs for about 23 days, while the male provides food and ensures the nesting area is safe. Once the chicks hatch, both parents continue to feed them a diet of soft food until they are old enough to fledge, usually around 6 weeks. Throughout this period, lovebirds exhibit strong bonding and cooperation, ensuring the health and safety of their offspring.

They do raise their own babies as we raise ours.

Probably not, although it is possible they will. They just like a nice, warm, comfortable place to raise their babies in privacy. A small cardboard box that fits in the cage with a hole cut out should work fine. Good Luck!

Baby eels have to fend for themselves; their parents do not raise them.
Well, I don't know about lovebirds. But I don't suggest any birds as pets. Because you aren't suppose to wash your bird they smell a lot. They might be cute on TV and stuff but they're not so cute when you raise them.
