The both swallow their food whole and break it apart during digestion. They then release pellets or other combined waste forms.

I do not think Garter snakes eat other snakes. They are carnivors, but I dont think they eat their own kind.
Snakes do NOT eat armadillos! .. The aramdillos shell gives it prtection, like a turtle.. Aramdillos are way to large for a snake to eat, even if it was a big snake it could not eat it!
