Barn owls tend to live closer in fields. They eat mice so they stay closer to fields and cities. However, if the city is in a desert area, the owl can survive. I live in Tucson and we have pleanty of barn owls. They just stay closer to the city than going out in the desert.
to stay alive
in winter they go to other contry and in summer other country
They kill desert travellers and suck their blood and take their supplies to stay alive
Depends on the breed. If it were an Arab, or desert horse bred for desert purposes, yes. If a regular horse, maybe a Tennesse Walking Horse, has no chance. They are not built for it.
Elf owls have adapted to the desert environment by being nocturnal to avoid hot daytime temperatures, having feathers that provide camouflage in sandy surroundings, and being able to survive on a diet of insects and small rodents that are common in desert habitats. Additionally, their small size helps them conserve energy and stay cool in the arid environment.
Owls are prolific hunters, using hearing, eyesight and silent flight to catch their prey, owls use silent flight to sneak up on prey, catching it before the prey even knows the owl is there, thus keeping the owl alive through nutrition.
Long roots of desert plants penetrate deep in the soil in search of capillary water and absorb it for the plant's survival
