Lets face it at one point your bird is going to bite you or someone Else can't do some trick that makes you bird stop biting but here is some advice: First of all don't back down if you trying to get them out of there cage, yes i know bites hurt but if you back down they this as a win over you. So grab a towel to restrain them.

Lean to read the singes that you bird is going to bite, shaking there tail feathers, pupil's dilating, bowing of the head. Hope that helps.

The best way to prevent parrot bites is to understand why your parrot is biting. Chances are your parrot is trying to tell you something and has resorted to biting out of frustration. That's a tricky one. Lovebirds love to bite - especially females. But here are some ideas:

Don't react, scream squeal or yell - EVER.

If you have a relationship with the bird, whenever he/she bites without saying anything put him/her on the floor. Wait a minute, tower over them scowling and asserting dominance then bend down to offer your hand. Be careful though, if your bird is biting out of fear, not spite, this is not a good option.

Birds will usually let go if you grab their beak up high close to their face, pressing just above the lower beak (like you would a snap dragon). Be gentle though. Don't hurt the bird while your in pain.

Some people put the bird in a cage, and cover it as a "time out." I am not a fan, as frequently I find that is what the bird wants or they forget what they did.

The best option if your bird is biting out of fear, is to slow down and take your relationship a little slower. Build more trust before attempting whatever it is that is causing the bird to bite.
