Owls are primarily effected by seasons in that it effects the prey they eat. As their prey moves, ceases to exist, migrates, hybernates or changes habits, the owl must also change it habits as well. The breeding season, which begins in late winter also drastically effect their habits in that they no longer keep to themselves and search out mates or previous mates. They also search out nests, (they do not build their own.) and eventually raise and feed young. The young stay with the parents longer than most other Birds of Prey. The young eventually move on in the fall. Then comes winter, and the cycle starts over again.
