Because they usually defecate on people's heads and/or property.
mostly seaguls because they land on the water the most and are the easiest for an aligator to catch
gulls have powerful flight muscles, and are very buoyant, cantake top advantage of wind currents.
Sea gulls are scavenging birds, which means they will usually eat things that are already dead. However, they will also eat small fish.
They bury the eggs in the sand on a beach. When the baby turtles hatch, they climb out of the sand, and into the water. Some get swept away by seaguls, or currennts though.
Because they've grown to realize that knuckle-headed people at the shore keep throwing french fries and other junk in the air for them. If people stop feeding them, they'd go elsewhere.

Some species are faster than others. Gulls are known for their ability to change direction quickly in flight, not for flat out speed. Around 35 mph would be a close estimate on speed for most species, but the laughing gull seems to be the fastest of gulls at around 40 mph.
Those seagulls would weigh two pounds whether they were sitting in the airplane or flying in it. This is because they have push the air below them (in the airplane) down with two pounds of force to keep two pounds in the air. So, yes, the seagulls would add 2000 pounds to the airplane's weight.
A sea gull would be hard pressed to prey on sparrows. The smaller bird always has the advantage when it comes to evasive maneouvres. The Sea gull is not equiped with talons or a beak to catch anything with. It is hard to imagine a Gull holding onto anything. If a sparrow were already dead then a Gull would eat it though.
