African grey parrots are known for their exceptional vocal abilities and can learn to articulate a wide range of words and phrases. On average, they can develop a vocabulary of 100 to 200 words, but some individuals have been reported to learn over 1,000 words. Their ability to mimic human speech is often linked to their intelligence and social nature.
