After about 6 weeks of being with their Parents the Baby Eagles are pushed out of their nest to go on their own.
Actually, baby eagles, or eaglets, stay in the nest until at least 11-12 weeks of age. The parents feed the babies until they leave the nest permanently. Even if the eaglets can fly well, they quite often keep coming back to the nest or stay in the area while the parents continue to feed them. Only occasionally will the parents 'kick a baby' out of the nest. Even when they do, they still care for them until they finally leave permanently.

An eaglet learns to fly by observing its parents and practicing flapping its wings. The parents encourage the eaglet to take short flights from the nest, gradually building up strength and confidence until it can fly on its own.

When an eaglet falls from the nest, it is often vulnerable and at risk of injury or predation, especially if it is too young to fly. Parent eagles may attempt to help the eaglet by bringing food or encouraging it to return to the nest. If the eaglet cannot be rescued and is too far from the nest, it may not survive without parental care. In some cases, wildlife rehabilitators may intervene to care for the fallen eaglet.
