Invasive to where? The great blue heron is indigenous, or native, to North America and South America, where they can be found from Florida all the way Alaska, and in the Caribbean and South America. Some have actually been observed in Britain, Spain, and the Azores, but that is a result of the biological principle of vagrancy, which means it's the exception rather than the rule.
