* Correction - Yes you can. However, it is a protected species and there are very strict regulations for ownership. You can also hunt with a falcon, but again, strict regulations. State and Federal regulations cover these. In New Jersey, you are required to prove that you have successfully owned and worked with a red-tailed hawk for two years before you are allowed to own a falcon. You should check your local State laws but expect to have to prove expertise prior to owning a falcon.
