Unfortunately, prices vary according to local market demands. The cost of shipping six geese (especially the type that are a-laying) from a "more economical market" may preclude THAT thought. Good luck, though!

A little more than the cost of two turtle doves and three french hens - but less than the cost of seven swans (which aren't very exciting and will only go a-swimming).

I think, unless you specifically want goose eggs, you would be as happy with 2 x three french hens. They are lower maintenance than geese and you should be able to pick them up at a slightly lower cost, particularly with the state of the economy. French hen eggs are also in greater demand than goose eggs, so you should turn a profit sooner than you would on goose eggs - so long as you were not planning to eat all the eggs yourself!

This profit, of course, will permit you to achieve your goal and buy a ring for each finger of one hand. If successful as a business person, you might consider investing in a dairy farm (eight cows + maids to milk them) - which may eventually enable you to take a break from your work and enjoy the music and entertainment of a large pipe and drum band - accompanied by dancers (comprised of ladies dancing, and lords a-leaping).

If you do not have the means to follow this business plan - may I suggest growing Pears - it is always the starting point of the yuletide entrepreneur.

My only warning - beware the distractions offered by the song of the calling bird. It is lovely to behold - but often leads to disaster, unless quickly distracted (which is why you will need to buy your five gold rings)
