Parakeets and even any other bird can NOT eat chocolate and avocados. These two foods are bird killers, so be extra careful around them. Also avoid seeds (including apple seeds), alcohol, raw meat, raw eggs, or anything that looks moldy or stale. Limit foods that are high in salt or fat, but these are okay as treats from time to time.
If you let them outside their cage like me make sure you put all plants away even if you know there nontoxic. Birds are different than humans, so what's safe for you might not be safe for them. Don't take the chance. Be sure that your plants are "bird friendly" BEFORE letting them near them. If you bird happens to eat any unknown plants or any toxic foods, please contact your vet as soon as possible. In the wild, birds tend to pretend they are healthy even when they are sick so that they don't become a target for predators, so they often don't show signs of illness until it is too late.
If you are worried that your bird could have eaten something he/she shouldn't have, check its feces. When mine got ahold of a box of colored pencils, he was defecating rainbows for days, and while it might not be this obvious, if its feces is too hard or too liquidy then odds are he/she has been up to something. Birds tend to be pretty hardy, so most of the time it will just move through their system and in a few hours they'll be back to normal. If it doesn't move through its system after a day or two, you should get your bird checked out by a vet.

Bottlenose dolphins eat a variety of fish. There would be no reason they would not eat a parrot fish if the situation presented itself.
Well, If the parrot fish lays eggs you should probably seperate it because it will guard the eggs for a few days and then eat it. Put the eggs in a different tank or something.
