The Harrier Hawk or Kahu is New Zealand's most common bird of prey. It is common sight in the sky all over New Zealand. New Zealand's other much rarer bird of prey is the New Zealand Falcon or Karearea is smaller and is a much better aerial acrobat catching other birds in flight.
