Kiwi. it's a fruit and also a bird from New Zealand
The bird that has the same name as a fruit is the "bluejay."
The kiwi bird is a BIRD and a kiwi fruit is a FRUIT. The only thing that is the same is that they are both brown.
Kiwi. The fruit not the bird. The birds must be also edible but i think is prohibited to kill them. New Zealanders eat much the same food as most western-style nations. New Zealand exports a lot of butter and lamb's meat. Kiwi fruit may not be originally from New Zealand; it's a relatively modern name brought on by retailers who wanted a name more exotic-sounding and less communist-sounding than 'Chinese gooseberry' which was how I knew the fruit in the 1950s (we had a big tree at school).
If you mean the fruit and the bird both called kiwi, then it's the same in English. We still call them kiwi.
Bats and birds are both flying animals.
humming bird i think
"Kiwi" in Spanish is still "kiwi," whether referring to the plant, the fruit, or the bird. Pronounced about the same, too.
