I may be completely wrong but what ive noticed around my macaw is that they dont apreciate being left alone and given attention. They usually like being left with the cage door open so they can roam around but i dont suggest doing that if you only just your bird, wait a few monts until thw bird is comfortable with its surroundings and make sure all windows and doors are shut tight so the bird cant escape out. They can and will get either sad depressed or very angry if left alone and not given attention for a long time. Sometimes you must know your company may not be wanted and if so you should leave it alone. They are quite a cheery little friend to have and a great pet to childeren whe.n accomneid by n adual
