What is the behavior of the rainbow lorikeets?

Rainbow lorikeets have tiny hair-like brushes on the tip of their tongue. These hairs help the bird to soak up nectar and pollen from inside flowers, which is what they mostly feed on (although not exclusively).

They also have strong claws which can act as "hands", holding their food. These claws also enable them to climb up and perch on objects, assisted by their strong curved beaks.

One of the main challenges that rainbow lorikeets face is their lack of proper thumbs. While they are very adept at using their beaks to climb with, the lack of thumbs means, of course, they are banned from carrying and using legal tender. This causes them to rely on the outdated barter system to gain some things from fellow animals that would be difficult for the lorikeet to get on his own. A lorikeets only gathering skill is nectar via their brush like tongue. Could you imagine how much nectar you would have to save up for an Xbox 360?!? It's awful.
