Cockatiel dietary requirements are what your cockatiel requires in its diet to be a healthy bird. Cockatiels should have a wide range of vegetables available to it. Bird seeds are a treat and you should supply lots of vegetables to your cockatiel/s.

Cockatiels love lettuce, just don't give them too much otherwise the lettuce will act as a laxative.

Vegetables which are good for your cockatiel:

• Carrots
• Brocolli
• Peas
• Lettuce
• Some cockatiels also like apple

DO NOT feed your cockatiel avocado or tomato. If unsure about a certain vegetable, be on the safe side and don't give it to your cockatiel.

You will also need a sheet to cover the cage at night, newspaper or normal paper to put at the bottom of the cage, perches and food and water containers.
