The Ostrich will lay their eggs in a nest like any other bird. Although, in the case of the Ostrich they usually lay eggs in a communal nest that each hen shares with the other 3 to 5 hens that "belong" to the male ostrich. Also, the nest is dug into the ground not in a tree, about 12 -24 inches deep and about 10 feet wide.
