The baby chic of a Dove is called a Squab.
on baby penguins, it is called down.
Just return it to its nest if you can find it nearby. If not, bring it home and feed it bread with milk or earthworms if you can find any. Set the bird free if any bird comes pecking on the window (it may well be the baby bird's mother).

Yes, a mother bird will typically search for her lost baby if she can locate it. Many species are instinctively driven to care for and protect their young, and the mother may call out or search the vicinity. However, if the baby is too far away or in a dangerous situation, she may not be able to find it. Ultimately, the behavior can vary depending on the species and the circumstances.
Take it to a place where They attend animals
It is best if you don't feed it yourself. It can get stressed out and/or die. its best to call or bring to a bird sanctuary. Plus its illegal to take care of a baby bird without a licence. Do not touch the baby bird except in emergency or if its injured. Often the mother bird will come back and feed it. But if it has human scent, she will abandon it and it will die.
in someways, they call it chickling, hatchling, hatchlet, or regularly baby birds most of the times.
The best thing to do if you find any wild bird that's 'apparently' been abandoned - is to leave it where it is. The parent bird WILL be close by somewhere, and will rescue the baby as soon as it feels it's safe to do so !
well if that baby bird is your pet and it can nearly fly,....... no. Trust me i have a baby bird for a pet.
