Barn owls are endangered because people build on the owls habitat, and people kill rodents and such which the owls eat, so when people kill rodents, the owls have to go some where else to feed.

The barn owl is far from being endangered. Although some local populations may decline for years, the bird always seems to rebound. Also, it is the most widely distributed bird on earth, found on every continent but Antarctica. It is listed as a species of least concern by the IUCN.
