Why do people like having parrots as pets?

Parrots are interesting pets to have. For instance they can learn 100's of different words. Macaws are popular because of their brilliant colors and ability to memorize and repeat words. Macaws beaks are so powerful that they can break a wooden stick, but are nimble enough to preform delicate tasks such as picking a tiny seed from a shell. Macaws can live up to 60 years.

Because if placed outside, parrots easily get spooked by moving things or noises. If they get out of their cage outside, they will also fly away and get lost.

Parrots help people by relaxing them and can also be use to entertain people especially cockatoos. Also if you are lonely you can talk to them a they can give you company. I recomend getting a parot if you are a loner.

First off, I must note that parrots are not for the inexperienced pet-owner. They are a rather challenging pet to have sometimes, but I believe their presence to be rewarding. Sometimes, they do silly things, or chirp and sing. You can teach them to talk, and you can spend time with them. Many people have parrots because they are an enjoyable pet, most definitely. If you spend a multitude of time with them, they can become like a best friend. They might sit upon your shoulder and cuddle up to you, share (bird-safe) foods with you, and talk with you.
