I did a report on the rain forest and I believe it is because they enjoy and eat the nectar from the plants/flowers that live in the canopy. Hope I helped :).
canopy
The ruby-throated hummingbird primarily inhabits the upper layers of the rainforest, particularly in the canopy and sub-canopy areas. These regions provide ample flowering plants for feeding and suitable nesting sites. Their agile flying abilities allow them to navigate through the dense foliage while seeking nectar from various flowers.
its cool
Hummingbird eggs are white, and are about the size of a regular jelly bean (not a Jelly Belly). The eggs of the smallest hummingbird, the bee hummingbird, are only 1 centimeter ( less than 1/2 inch) long.
Animals in the canopy like it there because its cool, dry, food is there, and most importantly its away from predators
Depending on where you are, there's a good chance you observed a hummingbird moth. It looks a lot like a large bee but flies and looks like a small hummingird with a bee body. Google hummingbird moth for pictures.
Oh, dude, the Hummingbird discography was created in 1975 by the band Hummingbird. It's like a collection of all their songs and albums, you know? So, yeah, 1975 is the year when they put it all together.
A bee guard for a hummingbird feeder looks like a trough of water. The trough looks like a circle around the top of the feeder.
A hummingbird, maybe
