I saw a bird build a nest on my porch light, after the bird was done building it's nest, it flew away and did not come back for at least 3 or 4 days. Did the bird went to find food or find a mate?
Answer
Probably to find a mate, some species of bird build a nest before mating. Also leaves too look for food.
A wren is a bird so a good sentence would be: There is a wren that built a nest in my backyard
Wren Building was created in 1700.

North American Wrens which there are 9 types, are secretive. They (House Wren, Carolina Wren, Rock Wren, Canyon Wren) will nest in holes, trees and birdhouses. The Marsh Wren makes a globe-shaped nest which are attached to plants just above the water. Cacus Wren builds a nest shaped like a football in cacti.
The female wren typically builds the nest herself, although the male may assist by providing materials or helping to defend the territory. In some species, males may also contribute to the nesting process by building multiple "dummy" nests to attract females. Ultimately, the primary responsibility for nest construction lies with the female.
