A serial number list for the Savage Model Ninety-Nine can be found in the Blue Book of Gun Values. For most other models, only a range of years is given. More information may be available at the Savage Arms website (see related link) and information about older Stevens firearms is available from the Stevens Historian, Mr. John Callahan, 53 Old Quarry Road, Westfield, MA 01085. Send him all the markings found on the gun along with your daytime telephone number. His charge is $15 to research each gun.
If you have a letter in front of the serial number ( A-B-C-D-E-F-G- ect) then I can give you that information, if it has only number, it's a lot tougher, but with more of a description, it can be narrowed down.
Generally Stevens and Savage shotguns work like this: A for 1949, B for 1950, C for 1951 etc. You can go to www.bluebookinc.com and look it up to be sure. It is free to look up the serial number/date of manufacture.
Look on the receiver and/or barrel
To determine the age of your Savage 110 rifle, you'll need to look up the serial number on the Savage Arms website or contact their customer service. Each number corresponds to a manufacturing year, and they can provide you with specific details based on the serial number format. Alternatively, you may find resources online or in firearms forums that track Savage serial number dates.

You can find them at the website for gunpartscorp. It is part number 984040A. Look under S, then under Savage/ Stevens/ Springfield. It is a walnut replacement, and rather expensive.
It may not have one. Older, less costly guns often did not have a serial number if they were made before 1968.
To find the serial number on a Stevens Visible Loading Repeater, you typically need to look on the underside of the receiver or the barrel. The serial number is often stamped into the metal and may be located near the trigger guard or on the side of the receiver. If the firearm has a wooden stock, you might need to remove it to access the serial number on the receiver. Always ensure the firearm is unloaded before inspecting it.
If it was made after 12/31/68, a serial number should be clearly marked on the receiver. If made earlier, it may not have one or it may be hidden almost anywhere.
The answer is no. Stevens is in name only as a part of savage arms company.I would look at numrich gun parts corp.they are on the web.
Look on the top of the receiver with the gun disassembled. You should find it there.
It may not have one. Serial numbers were not required on rifles and shotguns until 1968. But if this rifle has a clip thing, like the one I bought yesterday..look over that clip,I also had a handgun with the serial on the magazine
The Stevens 410 model 107B was produced from the late 1940s to the early 1960s. To determine its exact age, you would need to identify the specific year of manufacture, which can often be found through the serial number. If you have a serial number, you may be able to look it up or consult a firearms expert for more precise dating.
