No alcohol is allowed to be brought on board by passegers on Norwegian cruise ships. If you purchase alcohol, wine, etc. in port, they will hold it for you until the end of the cruise.
The rules apply slightly differently to the ship or to passengers. For the ship's store of alcohol to serve in their restaurants and bars, they will have limits typically based on the number of people aboard. There could be many sources of rules for bringing alcohol aboard. (1) The nation where the ship is registered may have laws that the passenger vessel must operate under. (2) The company that owns the vessel may have policies in place. (3) The visiting nations will have laws about bringing alcohol into their waters. (4) Within the constraints of the first three, the captain's word is law on board. Even if the above three say it's alright, the master of the vessel can prohibit passengers bringing alcohol aboard. If you are allowed to bring your own wine aboard as a passenger, it will likely be no more than 1-2 bottles. It's best to check with the cruise ship company to clarify. (Tobacco also)
Absolutely. However, you must purchase 100% of the alcoholic beverages from the cruise line. You cannot bring any aboard. The exception is bottles of wine or champagne - which may be brought onboard and stored with the wine steward. If you request these bottles to be brought to your cabin or dining room, a corkage fee around $20/bottle may apply. Happy Sailing!
Each passenger can bring aboard one 750 ml bottle of wine at each port.
I believe you need a license to ship wine. UPS does offer wine shipping to authorized wine shippers, so I would try UPS.com for more information. If you'd like to become authorized to ship wine I would suggest asking UPS how that might be done.
750 ml. However, some cruise lines prohibit bringing bottles of wine onboard for consumption. Therefore, they will hold the bottle until the passenger disembarks. It is wise to inquire beforehand.
No--the mainstream ones do not. They expect you to buy theirs! They do allow water and soft drinks, but no alcohol.
You can take one bottle of wine per person on the ship to drink while you are on -board. If you purchase any alcohol while in port, they will check it in when you re-board and will send it to your room the night before the cruise is over. If you are trying to save money on alcohol, I know people who have snuck alcohol on the ship in water bottles and such. If they notice that the bottles have been open they will make you dispose of the bottles before you board.

The legal age for drinking is different for each cruise line. You must check the rules for the line you will be sailing on. For most cruise lines the minimum age is 21. There are some exceptions where beer and wine can be consumed at 18.
