cut the fuel line then drain it then splice the fule line back on

Probably the best way you can possibly drain the tank is to purchase a siphon pump hose and drain the gas into containers. I hope the tank is less than 1/4 full, because that is a LOT of gas to drain! GLiDE
If you can't get a ciphon pump down, there should be a ball at the end of the filler neck to prevent fuel theft, you would have to drop the tank.

First turn off the gas at the petcock. Remove the hose from the petcock and attach your own that is long enough to reach your container.
After several miles, your car will start missing, better to go ahead a drain it.
if it is a grvity feed system remove line from carb and drain into pan, otherwise siphon it out
it depends... if you have a drive mower than you should have a hose that runs from your gas tank into a fuel filterer you unclip it the gas will leak out you can probly find it if you locate the gas tank just look for a tube,and if its a push lawnmower you should do the same,or you can tip the lawnmower over with the gas lid off,and let the gas drain out into a pan or so.
They dont use a drain pug on the gas tank, only way to drain it is to get a siphone pump and drain it. oldgrizzly
