on the end of the cowl away from the gas line enterance the is a square handle. inside the handle on each side there are two leavers. push the leavers down and the latch is released for the cowl to be lifted off.
There is a lever at both the front and rear of the cowl, the front one pulls forward, the rear one pivots up. Once these are released the cowl will lift straight up.

remove the wiper arms, remove the cowl covers, remove the cowl assembly, that is, the big plastic thing that the wiper motoe sits in. It is held is with about five or six 8mm bolts. Unplug the wiper motor and turn the assembly upside-down to access and replace the wiper motor.
