Very easy I had an 02' 25 horsepower on my whaler one arm did the trick most of the time.
50-1. I just bought a boat with this engine...how do you like it. What problems do you have if any? Are parts easy to get (it seems as though they are not!) Thanks
yes
ELPT on a 50hp Mercury 4-stroke outboard stands for "Electric Start, Long Shaft, Power Trim." This designation indicates that the outboard features an electric starting system, a longer shaft length suitable for larger boats, and a power trim feature that allows for easy adjustment of the motor's angle while underway. These features enhance the convenience and performance of the outboard in various boating conditions.
well considering the engine type petrol diesel the best outboard motor to get would be a petrol engine as this is easy fuel to come across just don't get any water in the fuel tank as this will cause the engine to cease and that's bad so get a petrol engined outboard motor and petrol hope this helps
It is easy...remove the lower unit..about 5 bolts. If you want to see this done YouTube it...a lot of good videos for DIY.
You would have to take out the engine and then it would make it easy to take the transmission of of the engine.
A 1992 Mercury 2-stroke 15 hp outboard motor typically weighs around 80 to 85 pounds (36 to 39 kg). The exact weight can vary slightly based on specific model variations and any additional features. This weight makes it relatively portable for small boats and easy to handle.
The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) on a Yamaha outboard motor is typically located in the engine's cowling or the powerhead area. It is usually mounted on or near the engine block for easy access to the engine's sensors and wiring harness. The exact location can vary by model, so it’s advisable to consult the specific owner's manual for detailed information.
The key features of the Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke outboard motor include a reliable 9.9 horsepower engine, fuel efficiency, quiet operation, smooth acceleration, and a compact design for easy handling.
It's called Easy start. Follow the directions printed on the can
if you can find a kit the conversion is easy to do, it just bolts on, you can put the key swich any place by the motor
No - the gauge reports 'real-time' the engine temperature. If it is wrong, there is a problem with the sending unit on the engine. This is a pretty easy fix...
