If you run your boat aground, the first step is to assess the situation to ensure the safety of all passengers. Check for any damage to the hull and ensure everyone is wearing life jackets if necessary. If the boat is stable, try to determine the depth of water around you and see if you can safely maneuver off the shallow area using the engine or by shifting weight. If that fails, consider calling for assistance or waiting for the tide to rise, if applicable.
If your boat runs aground, check the safety of passengers, then check for leaks.
Make sure no one is injured and then checks for no leaks.
