There is no need to drain the fuel after use. Some boaters like to unhook the fuel line from the engine, and let it run until it runs out of fuel, after an outing. The reason for doing this, is to burn all of the fuel out of the carburetors, in hopes of keeping the carburetors from gumming up. My thought is to run the engine on a regular basis, and at the very least, add stabilizer to the fuel at each fill up. Doing this, seems to keep the the fuel system clean.
