The sticker on the side of my 6hp two stroke Suzuki OB reads 100 to 1. Unsure of the year.
it all depends on water conditions and the boat.the right size boat for a 100 hp should do around 55-60mph
The smallest motor for a 16 foot Lowe boat is about 30 horsepower. The maximum size should be no more than 100 horsepower.
100 lbs
It can be several things. Here are a few simple (cheap) things to check 1. Does the boat have a sub floor that has filled with water? 2. Is the motor trimmed in? 3. Are you using the correct pitch propeller? Once planed does the engine rev to manufacturer's specification? 4. Is the bottom of the boat "bowed" or have a "rocker" as opposed to concaved which would make the boat plow.
Use 100% synthetic oil in the exact weight as recommended by the manufacture of the engine.
The weight of a 100 hp electric motor can vary depending on its design and manufacturer, but it typically ranges from about 300 to 600 pounds (approximately 136 to 272 kg). Factors such as the motor's construction materials, cooling methods, and specific application can influence its weight. For precise specifications, it's best to consult the manufacturer's datasheet for the specific motor model.
Stage III Trinity racing motor in my 92 LT 250r w/ FMF pipes, 100 LL fuel Pro-design head, and lots more ran a true 70mph. This machine was built for the woods and had plenty of extra weight in skid plates.
It depends on how the power boat is set up. Aerodynamics, weight and length all have a factor in how fast the boat can go. A power boat that is set up as a race boat will usually be up around 100 mph, but a regular power boat will usually go upwards of about 60 mph.
If you mean the 1936 Johnson Model 100, 1.7 hp, go to www.marineengine.com and look under Johnson manuals. They have a parts manual and diagram for that model for $27.50.
The speed of a boat with a 6HP motor can vary based on factors such as weight of the boat, hull design, and water conditions. Typically, you can expect a boat with a 6HP motor to reach speeds between 6-12 mph.
