Bail it.

If your boat gets swamped far from shore, the first priority is to ensure everyone's safety. Try to stay with the boat, as it provides some buoyancy and can be more visible to rescuers. Use any available flotation devices and signal for help using flares or whistles if you have them. If the boat is sinking rapidly, prepare to enter the water, keeping your head above water and swimming towards safety if necessary.
If your boat gets swamped, first ensure everyone's safety by instructing all passengers to wear life jackets and remain calm. Try to bail out as much water as possible using buckets or pumps, and if the boat is capsizing, stay low to avoid tipping it over. If the situation is critical and the boat is in danger of sinking, consider signaling for help and prepare to abandon ship if necessary. Always have a flotation device or life raft ready for emergencies.

There is lots of missing info here. Where are you? what's the depth of water? What is the temperature of the water? What is the sea state? Lots of variables to this question, however there are a few things I automatically think of. Don't panic, try to keep calm, a proper mindset can save you even when odds are NOT in your favor. If the boat capsizes or gets swamped try and stay with the boat as long as possible. Even if that means just holding on to whats left. The boat is a larger target, making you easier to find you by Search and Rescue (SAR) assets. Even if you are wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) if you can get out of the water, then try. Getting out of the water even if the air temp is freezing is better than staying in the water (Think of Jack and Rose, who lived, who dies.) Without more detail this is a good start.
3 Missionaries: M1, M2, M3 3 Cannibals: C1, C2, C3 Start Shore A Other Shore B 1. C1, M1 take the boat and cross the river and C1 stays on shore B, M1 comes back to shore A. 2. C2, C3 take the boat and cross the river and C2 stays on shore B, C3 comes back to shore A ( C1, C2 on Shore B). 3. M1, M2 take the boat and cross the river and M1 stays on shore B, M2,C2 come back to shore A (M1, C1 on shore B). 4. M2, M3 take the boat and cross the river and M2, M3 stays on shore B, C1 comes back to shore A (M1, M2, M3 on shore B). 5. C1, C2 take the boat and cross the river and C1 gets off and C2 goes back to shore A and brings C3. All lived happily ever after.
Make sure you wear a life jacket coz that water's gonna be really deep!===================================================Boats are designed to float. If possible, get back in the boat and attempt to bail it out.Otherwise, hang on to the boat, rather than risk trying to swim to shore.Attempt to move the boat to shore. If you stay with the boat, and the boat gets to shore, you'll be safe.If you stay with the boat, even if you can't bring the boat to shore, you have a much greater chance of being rescued than you'd have trying to reach shore on your own.If there are rapids, exposed rocks or rocks just below the surface:Float on your back with your feet facing downstreet to minimize injury from striking rocks.Stay away from the banks if there is non-trivial vegatation in and around the water surface outward from the bank. You can get trapped if the current is strong enough.
EPIRB + if the boat goes down water senstive swich triggers a radio signal that gets replayed by the satillite to listening posts on shore
