Mercury Marine began producing four-stroke outboard engines in the late 1990s. The company introduced its first four-stroke outboard, the Mercury 4-Stroke 15 HP, in 1999. Since then, Mercury has expanded its four-stroke lineup, focusing on performance, fuel efficiency, and environmental compliance.
Mercury Marine began producing outboard motors with electronic fuel injection (EFI) technology in 1989. This innovation allowed for improved fuel efficiency and performance in their engines. EFI has since become a standard feature in many of their outboard models.

To replace the windshield wiper motor on a 1994 Mercury Villager, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable for safety. Remove the wiper arms by loosening the nuts at the base and gently pulling them off. Next, take out the interior panel covering the wiper motor, disconnect the wiring harness, and unscrew the motor from its mount. Finally, install the new motor, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble the wiper arms and interior panel.
If you can hear your starter motor turning but not the engine you have some teeth missing on the ring gear. If you can hear nothing, not even the starter motor solenoid clicking into place, you have a connection problem between ignition switch and starter motor.
