The publishers actively search the internet looking for people who have these posted. They can ask them to remove them or even press legal action. I have tried a tool calle TunePat Audiobook Conveter. It allows me to download and convert Audible audiobooks to common audio format such as MP3/M4A/M4B, now I can free listen to these audiobooks on my MP3 player. Very nice tool.
