If it's like my Sentient system then you don't need to do anything to keep it functional: The system just records over the oldest footage.My system completely writes over everything every 5 to 6 days. If you need to keep an incident for future scrutiny or evidence then you MUST copy the footage off onto a USB stick, as per the instructions, before the system writes over it.If you want a longer loop time then you can buy a bigger drive and install it instead of the one that came with the system. Alternatively you can buy several hard drives and rotate them so you can keep footage for longer.
