Most safety experts agree that schools should have security cameras because they provide a necessary layer of protection for both students and staff. They serve as a silent witness that helps prevent bullying, deters unauthorized visitors, and provides objective evidence when incidents occur.
Why It Matters
Safety: Cameras allow administrators to monitor "blind spots" like hallways and entrances in real-time.
Accountability: They protect teachers from false claims and ensure students remain on their best behavior.
Emergency Help: During a crisis, live feeds give first responders the exact location of a threat.

These are for their personal security .Usually, yes. Most stores have a sign that says there a camera watching you, Target, for an example, has signs saying "SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS ARE WATCHING YOU" I don't think walmart has a sign, but they do have cameras.
Many schools have security cameras. Like elementaries and junior highs.
approximately 30% of highschools and 15% of middle schools in the U.S. have added security cameras
