Vulcanization is a chemical process for converting rubber into more durable materialsby adding sulfur. Non-vulcanized (uncured) natural rubber is sticky, deforms easily when warm, and is brittle when cold. Vulcanized rubber is less sticky and have superior mechanical properties compared to non-vulcanized rubber.

Such as:
better weather resistance (sunlight, temperature changes, water and snow)
better durability (stands mechanical wear better)
better elasticity
better mold ability (easier to make things out of)
