The greatest magnitude possible is just short of 50%. That occurs when a number just smaller than 15 is rounded down to 10.
1sf: 5000 metres 2sf: 98 kilograms 3sf: 193 000 dollars 4sf: 0.05647 amps 5sf: 108.24 degrees
if you are rounding to 1sf then it would be 0.6 if you are rounding to 2sf then it would be 0.69 if you are rounding to 3sf then it would be 0.692 if you are rounding to 1 dp then it would be 0.6 and it repeats
It depends what number you're rounding to. (dp=decimal place) 0.7234 (4dp) 0.723 (3dp) 0.72 (2dp) 0.7 (1dp) 1 (1sf (significant figure))
Rounded to 4 significant figures it becomes 7863.0to 3 sf : 7860.0to 2sf : 7900.0to 1sf : 8000.0The following rules may help.Rounding off numbers.1) If the first figure to be discarded is 5 or more, then the previous figure is increased by 1.Example : 5.1935 = 5.194 (4sf) = 5.19 (3sf) = 5.2 (2sf) = 5 (1sf)2) Zeros must be kept to show the position of the decimal point or to indicate that zero is a significant figure
The UK does not use ZIP codes, it uses postal codes. Of which there are thousands.
The universal equation for discovering the speed of an object would be to divide the unit of measurement (in this case KPH) by time (5 hours). Or "Speed = Distance / Time"!400/5 = 80 KMH643.74/5 = 128.74 MPH

The rules when rounding off numbers are as follows :- 1) If the first figure to be discarded is 5 or more, then the previous figure is increased by 1. Example : 5.1935 = 5.194 (4sf) = 5.19 (3sf) = 5.2 (2sf) = 5 (1sf) 2) Zeros must be kept to show the position of the decimal point or to indicate that zero is a significant figure. Thus, 2750 is the answer to 4sf and also to 3sf. 2800 is the solution to 2sf and 3000 is the answer to 1 sf.
