350mg

I believe the way to do the problem is divide the 140 by 2.2 (since 1lb = 2.2kg), that should give you 63.6363...kg You then have to convert the 5mg to g which would be 0.005g. You must then multiply 63.6363...kg by 0.005g which equals 0.3181815g = 0.32g.

140lb/2.2kg = 63.6363

5mg = 0.005g

63.6363kg x 0.005g = 0.3181815g = 0.32g

I hope this helps, it took me awhile to figure out some sort of equation as well. In fact I hope my calculations are correct also lol, it worked out on the calculator.

The patient's weight needs to be converted from pounds to kilograms. 140 lbs is approximately 63.5 kg. Then, the nurse can calculate the dosage by multiplying the patient's weight in kg by the prescribed dosage (5 mg/kg), resulting in 317.5 mg. This should be converted to grams by dividing by 1000, giving a total of 0.3175 grams.
