normally if you add a base to an acid it raises the pH level makin it less acidic and if you add enough it will raise the pH level to 7 makin it neutral. antacids are composed of material with a basic pH level they neutralize some of the acid in your stomach to relieve heartburn. i do not know if it being a hydroxide base will have any significant effect
strong acid Hydrogen Chloride HCl strong base Potassium Hydroxide KOH HCl + KOH -> KCl + H2O
Acid is Hydroiodic Acid (HI) and the Base (Alkali) is potassium hydroxide. Here is the reaction eq'n. HI(aq) + KOH(aq) = KI(aq) + H2O(l).
Gallium hydroxide is a base. It is formed when gallium oxide reacts with water to produce hydroxide ions.
Sulfuric acid reacts easily with sodium hydroxide to form sodium sulfate and water because sulfuric acid is a strong acid and sodium hydroxide is a strong base. This reaction occurs because both acids and bases react to form water and a salt. Hydrochloric acid may not react in the same way because it is a weaker acid compared to sulfuric acid.
Ammonium hydroxide is a base. It is a solution of ammonia in water, which can react with acids to form ammonium salts.

Sodium chloride is formed when sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid react. This is a neutralization reaction where the sodium hydroxide (a base) and hydrochloric acid (an acid) combine to form a salt (sodium chloride) and water.
An acid and a base react to form water and a salt
Base comprises of hydroxide . Bases ionise to produce these ions. For example- NaOH is a base which is composed of OH-
The acid is the phosphoric acid and the base is magnesium hydroxide.
No, Mg(OH)2 is not an acid. It is a base, specifically a metal hydroxide compound. It can react with acids to form salts and water.
This base is zinc hydroxide.
It makes sodiumchloride and water
