A recent publication of a popular magazine in July of 2010, did an article on non-newtonian fluids being used in armor applications. One of the U.K.'s top british defense companies, BAE have devolped a secret non-newtonian ballistic fluid that has proved to be more flexible, light, and safe for soldiers.
