Difference between solidification of supermetals and metal alloy?

if we take example of binary alloy and binary intermetallic compound then in case of binary intermetallic compound the position of two types of atoms in a particular lattice structure remain fixed but in case of binary alloy the atoms position is not fixed although they formed the same lattice structure but the position of two types of atoms may not fixed in the lattice.

During solidification

1.pure metal converts from liquid state to solid sate at a single temperature while an alloy solidifies over a range of temperature.

2.pure metal composition remains constant throughout solidification process(its obvious) but the composition of alloy changes continuously. But the composition of alloy in the solid sate becomes same as that when it was in liquid state.that is, this change of composition take place only during liquid+ solid state.

importantly , all this occurs only during cooling under equilibrium conditions.
