A gas is a substance whose molecules are in constant, rapid, random motion. As a result, a gas will spread out and take on the shape and volume of whatever container it is in-whether a jar, a room, or the atmosphere! This is very different from a liquid or a solid. The molecules in a liquid do not move as fast as those in a gas. A liquid can take on the shape of its container but will keep the same volume, no matter what container it is in. The molecules in a solid just vibrate in place. That is why a solid will retain both its shape and its volume.
Yes, It can change... To be a liquid or a gas :)OR by applying forces.....
Yes it can change its shape by the alteration of temperature.
yes because it will stay in that shape
a solid does not have a fixed shape.
yes ofcourse
yes
nope
no
A solid has a fixed shape and a fixed volume. A liquid has a fixed volume, but assumes the shape of its container. A gas assumes both the shape and volume of its container.
An example of a solid solution is ice. A solid has a fixed volume and a fixed shape.
Because a solid has a fixed shape while a liquid has no fixed shape. However, it is possible to pour dry sand and that IS a solid. Can you think of why that is
A solid is a substance that has a fixed volume and a fixed shape, and a liquid has a fixed volume but not a fixed shape, and a gas has no fixed volume or shape.
A SOLID. They have a fixed volume mass and shape because the particles are so closely packed together.
It has a fixed shape and volume

A solid has a fixed volume and does not change shape.
A solid has a fixed shape and volume and cannot be compressed

Sponge is a solid as it has a fixed shape

Sort of, Solids have a fixed shape, while liquids have no fixed shape.
