cobalt is very hard, it is most likely for strength and durability
yes cobalt is very valuable.
Yes. Daiwa Golf of Japan made the G3 cobalt/steel irons in early 1990s. Remarkable cast metal heads with a soft forged feel. A very satisfying and effective ball strike and flight. The iron clubs were usually fitted with superb Daiwa shafts, the most notable of which were the Kevlar Diamond Braid graphite shafts. Cobalt steel alloy has superior wear resistant properties. I'm 78 now and I'll be playing these until I die, and then I'll take them with me to golf heaven. I understand there is Someone up there whose does miraculous things with a 1 iron. I think I can challenge Him with my Daiwa cobalt/steel alloy 2 iron.
Cobalt is a metal related to iron. It has a red tint while it is very hard, it has a low melting temperature compared to other metals. Cobalt tools are used for high speed cutting applications when alloyed with chromium and tungsten.
Cobalt metal is found naturally only in chemically combined form. The element produced by reductive smelting, is a very hard, lustrous, silver-gray metal.

Magnets are made from iron, nickel, and cobalt. Cobalt is a bit more flexible than the other two, which are very hard metals. It could also be an alloy of the three, but I don't know about that.
yes cobalt is very valuable.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It depends on the weight percent copper and zinc used in it.
Because it's strong and very light.
ALUMINIUM (Al) is a light metal element that is useful for a lot of stuff. It is the 13th element. an ALLOY is a metal that is made up of a group of metals put together (ie bronze = Tin (Sn) + Copper (Cu)) I can only assume that alloyminium is an aluminum alloy (probably very light and weak) or youre just very confused.
Is the reactivity of an alloy very different from the reactivity of its major component?"

if they are alloy they are alloy you will not be able to remove alloy from alloy wheel its made of it, if you want to paint them then paint primer on very clean sended alloy wheels and apply the paint you want.
Cobalt is not a very good conductor as copper or silver; the electrical resistivity is 62,4 nohm.m
The elements cobalt, nickel and iron are all magnetic. Most alloys containing at least one of these three elements will be magnetic. For example stainless steel is very magnetic. However alloys not containing these elements is most likely not magnetic.
Cobalt 60 is a very valuable radiation source for the treaments of many types of cancers.
