It depends on the type of water.
Non Carbonated water should not change significantly over time, open or closed.
Carbonated water, however, is different.
H2O + CO2 <---> H2CO3 (carbonic acid)
So, while the carbon dioxide is dissolved in the water, it will be slightly acidic, or with a lower pH.
As the carbon dioxide bubbles out, it will loose the acidity, and the pH will increase.
The concept of bottling water dates back to the 18th century, but it became more popular in the 19th century as a way to sell spring water for its perceived health benefits. The first commercially bottled water was sold in the United States in the 19th century.
Metal typically rusts faster in lemon juice compared to bottled water. Lemon juice is acidic, which can accelerate the corrosion process on metal surfaces. Bottled water, on the other hand, does not contain acids that would promote rusting.
Bottled water has been around for centuries, with origins traced back to natural mineral springs that people would bottle for consumption. The modern concept of commercialized bottled water is often credited to Jackson's Spa in Boston in the early 19th century where mineral water was bottled and sold for its perceived health benefits. The popularity of bottled water has since grown due to convenience, perception of purity, and marketing campaigns promoting its benefits.
Bottled spring water comes from a natural spring and is typically high in minerals, while bottled mineral water comes from underground sources and has a specific amount of minerals added for taste and health benefits. Spring water is naturally filtered and usually has a more neutral taste, while mineral water has a distinct mineral content that can vary depending on the source.

As far as your health, tap and bottled water is the same. One is not better than the other. Many brands of bottled water is actually tap water that has been bottled. It is a personal preference as to which is best.
Bottled water that is purified would be best.
They made bottled water so that people can have portable water wherever they go.
Actually tap water is more regulated and pure than bottled water
Bottled water is not necessarily soft water. Much of the bottled water sold in stores is plain tap water, some is from springs containing various minerals in solution, and some is distilled water.
no bottled water
bottled water? Quibell
Depends on what company you're comparing tap water to. But most bottled water companies use filtered water (the same as tap water). In most cases bottled water is not purer than tap water. Note that tap water is not the same everywhere, not are all brands of bottled water the same. But legal requirements for water purity are the same for tap water as for bottled water. In some cases, bottled water actually is tap water, that has simply been taken from the tap and put into bottles.
