The water stored in our red blood cells help for cooling, or can store warmth (eg. in winter so our warmth comes into our system gradually so we can survive for a longer time.). It is comparable to the sea and land, without sea everything would be way extremer.

It doesn't matter wether you drink your water ice cold, normal or boiling. You can obtain water cells from any water-containing drink (tea, coffee, regular water) though normal plain water is proven to work best, and also the high ammounts of sugars in waterbased sodas (coke, lemonade,...) extract more water from our body (sugar (and salt) do that) than they add.

It is better to drink small amounts often than alot in one go, that way our body can "capture" more of the water cells (handy tip for when you're in a desert). it always takes several minutes to an hour depending on your body type for water to be taken in by your body.

In hot tropical climate a person can perspire to one liter/hour. In dry climate if this much water is evaporated from the body of a person, then heat for vaporization is taken partly from body and partly from air. So body temperature is maintained. In this only water does not come out in perspiration but some amount of salt also comes out. And so it is recommended that 3 grams/ liter of common salt is to be added in drinking water. For evaporation of water flow of air is required. Either artificial or natural. In humid climate water can not be effectively evaporated and this mechanism fails.
