Use a water conditioner for aquarium.

Pet stores sell them.

Another way I use for my 75-gallon tank is I put replacement water in my containers the night before. I put a declorinater in at the same time which I get from the fish pet store. After 24 hours the water is safe to put in.

Basically, just open the can/bottle. "Carbonation" is based off the solubility of a gas (CO2) in a liquild. The solubility changes as follows: The higher the temperature, the less CO2 dissolved in the drink. The lower the pressure in the air around the drink, the less CO2 dissolved in the drink. The higher the concentration of CO2 in the air around the drink, the more dissolved in the drink. So, to decarbonate a soda, boil it, put it in a vacuum, or get it away from CO2 in the enviroment. hope this helps

Water floats and sinks in water because water in water results in the mixing and diffusion of the water in the other water. This may sound silly, but the question was one dealing with water in water. The mixture of water and water will, after a time, become one homogenous volume of liquid.
