Take a specific gravity test.
First weight the object in grams
Second Find how much water it displaces using a fixed amount of water in a measurable crucible with ml measurements. Place the object in the water. Remember 1 ml = cm^3 (cubic centimeter) volume
Weight in grams divided by volume equals density (Specific Gravity)
Take the result and compare with the Specific Gravity of Rhodium 12.45 grams/cm^3 (this is for 100% pure)
You are welcome
Rhodium Chains do change colors. The rhodium has a mirror like reflecting appearance. The rhodium chains are a two color electrochromic system. This gives the rhodium chains a look of having multiple colors.
Extracting rhodium from a catalytic converter involves crushing the converter to a fine powder, then using a chemical process to dissolve the rhodium. This solution is then treated with other chemicals to separate the rhodium from other metals present. Finally, the rhodium is precipitated out and purified for use.
Rhodium does not produce a distinctive color in a flame test.
Rhodium is a solid at room temperature.
Rhodium can be extracted from a catalytic converter by crushing the converter to a fine powder, then using a chemical process involving acids to dissolve the rhodium. The dissolved rhodium can then be separated and purified through various methods to obtain the pure metal.
