Use something made for curls if you can. Gel has more shine than a mousse. Rub the
product in your hands and comb it through your hair. As you start to dry your hair the
moisture will make it's way to the ends because of gravity will start to make the curl
pattern loosen on the ends. Squeeze excess moisture out the ends constantly using a
dry part of towel. Your fingers can be used like a rake to lift the roots up so the air can
penetrate farther for more volume. The product will start to create a crust over the
hair. At this point do not squeeze ends anymore as you will only create frizz. The
farther you go with the squeezing the hair for more curl will only create more frizz. If
you go to far lightly spray with water and add a little more product and start over.
There is no way to make your hair permanently straight if your hair is naturally curly without using any chemicals. However you can use a relaxer once to straighten your hair but it is a chemical or you can also try keratin treatments.

Shampoo is typically slightly acidic to maintain the pH balance of the scalp and hair. This helps to keep the hair cuticles closed and healthy.
You can use Cranberry juice, Pomegranate juice or Red cool aid. All you have to do is (if you are using juices) soak hair for 20 min, and then rinse and let dry. If you are using cool aid you want to have depending on color preference at least 10 bags, boil it in the water till it is all dissolved. Then let cool for 5 min and soak your hair for 20 min. Now the cool aid is a stronger dye so you want too be careful how red you make it.

Generally, any shampoo makes your hair more fragile. Shampoo removes dirt and unwanted things from the hair, but it also strips it of the natural (and other) oils and substances (emollients) that keep it from becoming so dry - so brittle. Dry hair, that is, hair without natural oils, is prone to being more brittle. That's the whole idea behind why we have conditioners and other enhancements the we put into hair after we wash it.
